School Bus Information
Section 20: BUS CONDUCT

Students shall comply with all appropriate rules in the Code of Student Conduct while waiting for, riding, boarding, or leaving the bus or other school-owned vehicle. In addition, students shall adhere to any additional school rules or state laws developed specifically to govern this conduct while waiting for, riding, boarding or leaving the vehicle.  RIDING A BUS IS A PRIVILEDGE AND NOT A RIGHT, AND IS CONTINGENT UPON COMPLIANCE WITH SUCH RULES.  All non-students are prhibited from entering the school bus except by approval of the principal.  The principal has the authority to determine a suitable punishment for violations, including a short or long-term suspension from the school bus (or school).

ALBEMARLE MIDDLE SCHOOL:

Please note ALL studens mus present their pass in order to ride to or from school.  Students that do no have a pass myy rquest a new one from the office.  Students must request a pass BEFORE 1:00 each day.  If the student does not request another pass at that time, they will NOT be permitted to ride the bus and mus call home for a ride.  After the third time losing their pass, they will be suspended from the bus for ONE day.

If your child is to ride home with another or need a temporaty stop/bus change, AMS mus receive a signed not from the parent/guardian.  Thismust be turned into the office at the beginning of the day for verification.
